In his book Dutch Sheets uses 2Corinthians 3:6 to claim that believers administer “the blessings and provisions of the new covenant” (p. 79). We show that Paul was referring to his own apostolic ministry, that the covenant was initiated by God, and that the terms are determined by God. We have access to the blessings of the new covenant through Christ alone, with no other mediator. We go on to examine the context of this passage, showing that we are servants of Christ who preach the gospel, but He alone mediates and administers the new covenant.
