I am really happy to have worked on another collab with Kit. She helped me alot at the start of this project, since I am new to editing to Vanille clips. Snow was basically the only reason I edited to FFXIII.
But yeah, her helpful comments helped me focus and keep on improving. So you can see the guidance from Part 1 to my Part 5 lol

Ive realized that over my 10 years on Youtube I never upload anything that is shorter than 40seconds on this channel. I have well over 200 MEP parts on my computer that I just never upload.

We were to choose a Game character that we connect with and then a song that suits us both.
My reasoning for choosing Dante is I relate to his confidence, his arrogance and cockiness.
I generally try to keep my massive ego under control but my close friends know I am egotistical, its usually embedded within my confidence. Dante is confident to the point where he seems like he doesnt care, although Im much more toned down than that and genuinely care about my friends, but like him, it takes me awhile to warm up to people but once they have my trust, more of my personality shines through.
Plus we both have black hair. lol
The song Immortalized, particular with the line secure a legacy that will never die. much like what Im doing with my edits on Youtube, although I will never turn it into a career, it is something that I have done to last forever. Something to remember my time spent on Earth.
Dantes legacy in the reboot series was he eventually did release humanity from the grips of the demons.
Although I dont have any demons to slay, I can still relate to Dante :)

It has been an honor to be able to collab with Silica, when she commented on this videos sign up, I knew it was gonna be a fantastic joint venture!

It was originally going to be a full Devil may Cry collab, using all the series of DMC from the original to the reboot series but when the collab was over half way and we were still smitten with Nero and Kyrie, we decided to just make it a full DMC4 collab - the last time I edited a full DMC4 video was back in 2015!! The opening was probably the hardest part, I tried to edit Neros origins - which entailed Vergil exploring Fortuna and shacking it up with some lady from the Order, that was a fun scene to edit. Although Devil May Cry has always been hack/slash kill-demons and GTFO storyline, for once they included a love story that isnt creepy, where the girl doesnt look like your mother - Im looking at you Trish.
Say what you want about NeroxKyrie, its still a better love story than Twilight.
We went for an ink-on-paper aesthetic, because in a sense we were telling a story [albeit Canon of DMC4] and before computers we wrote with ink on paper. Fitting yes.

I did my best to utilize these keywords as best as I could with the sunshine being part of the plot and the powers of the goddess of light
Vivid, by using vivid ghostly forms of Yuna and a bright colouring at the end to symbolize the darkness lifting
Reverie, Vergil wandering mindlessly in his reverie about Yuna and also the band of the song is called Light Field Reverie, like cmon its perfect.

Story ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Vergil wanders aimlessly after he was sacrificed by Yuna from previous mysterious land. Unsure if hes dead or not, he sees vivid visions of Yunas ghostly form haunting him.
He eventually finds comfort in her ghostly visits.
The goddess of Light appears and initially raises blades with him, however she sees his plight and uses her divine intervention, bringing out the sunshine and eliminating the darkness that was surrounding them and has Yuna cross over to met him again, so the two of them can be at peace together.
