It has been an honor to be able to collab with Silica, when she commented on this videos sign up, I knew it was gonna be a fantastic joint venture!

It was originally going to be a full Devil may Cry collab, using all the series of DMC from the original to the reboot series but when the collab was over half way and we were still smitten with Nero and Kyrie, we decided to just make it a full DMC4 collab - the last time I edited a full DMC4 video was back in 2015!! The opening was probably the hardest part, I tried to edit Neros origins - which entailed Vergil exploring Fortuna and shacking it up with some lady from the Order, that was a fun scene to edit. Although Devil May Cry has always been hack/slash kill-demons and GTFO storyline, for once they included a love story that isnt creepy, where the girl doesnt look like your mother - Im looking at you Trish.
Say what you want about NeroxKyrie, its still a better love story than Twilight.
We went for an ink-on-paper aesthetic, because in a sense we were telling a story [albeit Canon of DMC4] and before computers we wrote with ink on paper. Fitting yes.

I did my best to utilize these keywords as best as I could with the sunshine being part of the plot and the powers of the goddess of light
Vivid, by using vivid ghostly forms of Yuna and a bright colouring at the end to symbolize the darkness lifting
Reverie, Vergil wandering mindlessly in his reverie about Yuna and also the band of the song is called Light Field Reverie, like cmon its perfect.

Story ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Vergil wanders aimlessly after he was sacrificed by Yuna from previous mysterious land. Unsure if hes dead or not, he sees vivid visions of Yunas ghostly form haunting him.
He eventually finds comfort in her ghostly visits.
The goddess of Light appears and initially raises blades with him, however she sees his plight and uses her divine intervention, bringing out the sunshine and eliminating the darkness that was surrounding them and has Yuna cross over to met him again, so the two of them can be at peace together.

My entry for Invisible CitiesTournament Round 2 Season 3
In this round, competitors were asked to pick three words from a list provided, and then make a story involving those selections.
My three words were:
Ghost;
Gunshots cant be taken back;
dying;
The story goes, as a sequel to my first round video Catharsis, Yuna is heavily grieving with the fact she choose her own selfish ways over her lover and although she was carrying out a good deed, it had consequence she thought she could live with. The spirit of her lover Dante keeps ringing in her ears, coming back as shadows and seen as ghosts to her.
Her mentor Luciana (nicknamed Lulu) told her that sometimes spirits are not so forgiven of the way they died and will come back as ghosts and fiends.
She takes Yuna to the Oracle who can perform a higher level of sending where she asks to finally send Dantes soul to the other side.
However, when Yuna sees Dante and he stands there with her, she can almost feel him and the feeling was overwhelming. As an attempt to reverse what she had done she revolted against Lulu and began to run away with Dante but Lulu stood in their way.
Summoning a powerful otherworldly being; and with a heavy burdern she excutes her student to save her from herself.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Ghost; Dantes lingering soul that haunts Yuna to the very core of her memories
Gunshots cant be taken back; with a heavy regret, when Yuna sees Dante again, its like he never left. She tries desperately to return to how things were if she ran away with him and kept him - without guilt, without the thought she was the one who sent him there in the first place and knowing hell never be fully alive again.
dying; as a last ditch effort, her mentor summons an otherworldly creature and stops Yuna from making a huge mistake and has Yuna be executed.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the deafedit challenge, it is where you are given a piece of audio from someone and you are forbidden to listen to it.
You have to edit the song ONLY USING THE SOUNDWAVES ON THE TIMELINE. You have to either mute your computer or turn down the volume to nothing in your editing program and just edit. Not knowing what kind of tune it is, what footage will go well or whatever, and you cant see the whole finished thing until its on the internet when its tooo late to change anything lol XD

Its no secret that Gundam Wing is my fave anime of all time, and knew it was the remedy I needed to get my inspiration back.
I wasnt able to edit anything in January due to my presence needed in the GMV Awards judging process and my inspiration was low - however, Acretongue released a new album on 1st Feb and hooray an epic song that re-vitalized my need to edit - I had the song but I struggled with the footage. Games werent making it feel complete and so once I had ripped my GW episodes from the DVDS of the episodes I was all set.
Editing a little, filling in the timeline piece by piece and then adding transitions/colouring and text afterwards.
While I usually edit with 20+ layers in SV, this one called for just 2 and it was nice. Having a clean and tidy timeline. This is also my first attempt at testing out sapphire plugins. I think I did.....okay. More practice necessary.
Considering I started editing this in a raw state, I wouldnt call it darkstyle but I did add in a few glitch aesthetics just to match the intensity of the song. Excuse the interlacing in a few clips, that was the fault of the DVD ripper, I tried my best to tidy it up.
Gundam Wing will always be my fave in the Gundam series, purely for nostalgic reasons that it was the first one I was introduced to.
Followed by Setsuna in Gundam 00.
Frozen Teardrops existence is a tragedy. fIgHT mE.

Hello everyone!
Welcome to the annual MEP on my channel.
Last year the theme was homegrown rock where I used a rock song from my own country of New Zealand, this year it is dark electronica from South Africa!
I absolutely adore this band Acretongue, I discovered them on bandcamp and they have two albums coming out in Feb!
I always enjoy hosting a MEP on my channel to have an excuse to edit with my friends and this year I have made many new friends and editors who havent been in a MEP on my channel yet so I am pleased to introduce them to you.
I got a cool bunch of friends lemme tell ya.
This MEP focused on GMV dark aesthetic suiting the dark electronica genre, everyone gave it their all and I am very pleased how this came out.
This is the last upload on my channel for 2018 so Ill see you guys in an epic 2019 to come!
