NOTE: I have 2 cameras. 1 has a bad quiet microphone and the other is better. This is the bad mike one.
At 0:28 I did say "Thanks" to her , but you probably can't hear it. I don't have longer conversations as I don't have time for long conversations . We get about 5 seconds typically to locate the parcel, run it to the door, scan it, take a photo, run back to the vehicle (can't be done . Even scanning takes 5 seconds (if you're lucky) to 3 minutes. It once took me 15 minutes to deliver a parcel (in my own time) to deliver a parcel due to the app messing up.
I offended some workers at the delivery station.
Suddenly I'm getting all these complaints from customers, driver support and a lot of things are going wrong (cancelled shifts as well)
As I managed to find out about allegedly being rude to a customer, I reviewed my deliveries. Maybe you guys can help me improve my people skills by identifying which person complained.
What do they expect from me ? A song and dance for each customer ? For about $5 - $10 / hour (after expenses) , unrealistic delivery goals and copping rudeness / poor treatment at the pickup location by the d Ei hires , it really isn't worth your time doing this. Even a 14 yr old gets paid more than me. A lot of drivers just throw the package over the fence. At least I take it to the door. We don't get time in the block to actually deliver or for traffic lights. The only reason I did it (don't anymore) is because I didn't want to claim unemployment so I flogged my guts out doing this (withdrawing money out of my car *wear and tear*) while I tried to find something else (a real job). This trashed my car (on its last legs now)
Ps I record everything because (a) Sometimes people make false complaints (first complaint ever from a customer, but still) , (b) People sometimes bail you up questioning why you are there [helps to have proof in case they say you stole something *and yeah, there is a problem with theft - food delivery places tend to steal occasionally] . I've been bailed up a few times* ]
Footage tends to get deleted soon after , not to mention 99.9% of it is boring and uneventful.
