I'm so ashamed of myself. I got caught in a no standing zone (for a very short time). Camera car drove past me very shortly after I stopped. There were plenty of cars there too and it was a metered parking area except during certain times :(
Too late ! Even though I pulled out shortly after (hadn't turned off the vehicle / exited the vehicle or loaded anyone) , I already have the ticket. I tried to get it reviewed but they didn't respond so it is now paid.
I think there should be some leeway (especially if only there for less than a minute in a regular car parking area. *I'm not talking about bus stops / police zones as that is obviously illegal parking*. If the person isn't actually blocking traffic or is stuck behind others that are blocking traffic for a short period, I don't think a ticket is really warranted.
As for my ticket.. I could have taken it to court but still have "committed the offence" so would probably have to pay court costs.
