Elon Musk’s Boring Company wants to solve soul-crushing gridlock with a network of tunnels that take people and cars up to 150MPH under our very feet. They’ve already dug a 1-mile test tunnel near the Tesla headquarters in Hawthorne, CA and they held a big press event last November, taking a bunch of people through it. So, will we all be commuting to work in tunnels any time soon like some sort of futuristic mole people? Maybe not, but The Boring Company already has several projects in the planning stages which they hope to complete in the next 2-3 years.
