Where can I find out about accessible gates in open countryside and other outdoor infrastructure?
The Centre for Outdoor Accessibility Training is based at Natural England's Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve near Oxford.
We believe that everyone should be able to access the countryside. Here at COAT we offer training in Best Practice according to BS5709 Gates, Gaps & Stiles. These bespoke courses are aimed at people and organisations managing public access on their land. We have examples of countryside infrastructure such as gates and vehicle restrictors on site for you to try out, along with different types of all-terrain mobility vehicles.
