Hi everyone! I'm back again with a video recommending books for children that have good disability representation. As you'll hear me discuss, the state of representation is improving, but is still pretty abysmal. We have a long way to go towards combating ableist stereotypes and just general invisibility of disabled people in popular culture at all. Additionally, I recommend Elizabeth @thekidlitmama on Instagram and Mai @MaiStoryBook , also on Instagram, for recommendations for kids that are both fun and thoughtful. Elizabeth is currently working on creating a massive database for children's literature recommendations of all kinds, so definitely check out her work.
