Nobody saw them coming — three "joke" decks, three unknown players, three of the biggest upsets ever recorded in Yu-Gi-Oh history.
Jonathan Moore took Six Samurai through 539 players at Shonen Jump Championship Houston 2008 and beat reigning champion Adam Corn's Dark Armed Dragon deck in the finals. Two months later, Paul Levitin won SJC Minneapolis 2008 with Gladiator Beasts — before Gyzarus even existed — defeating Mario Matheu's Light and Darkness Dragon deck with a perfectly timed Crush Card Virus. And in 2018, Dinh-Kha Bui brought Prank-Kids to YCS Milan, the weekend Firewall Dragon was banned, and beat Federico Mecozzi's Thunder Dragons for the title in front of 1,767 players.
