Create a bright, colorful mixed media birthday card packed with layers, texture, shine, and dimension! 🌈✨ In today’s cardmaking tutorial, I’m combining gel plate printing, stencils, dye inks, embossing paste, die cuts, pigment ink, mica shimmer, glitter cardstock, and embellishments to create a fun birthday card full of beautiful details.
I start by creating a colorful gel plate background with acrylic paints and stencils, then build up the design with additional stenciling and fresh dye inks. From there, I add embossing paste through a halftone stencil, create a dimensional frame, ink and layer the birthday sentiments, and finish everything with flowers, foliage, metallic shimmer, glitter, and confetti.
This card is a great example of how you can combine different cardmaking techniques and textures to create a one-of-a-kind handmade birthday card.
