Van life is not always amazing. Van life can be stressful and sometimes I get incredible anxiety especially when the unexpected happens and urban camping in cities. As an introverted empath and a person living with CAPD I can go into overwhelm mode quickly when there is too much noise while I'm urban camping. I had to do some annual doctor visits in Phoenix, Arizona, which meant I had to stay in the city for longer than I expected in my van. Then, the unexpected happened with my dog Lily which sent us to the ER. In some of my other videos I've explained my anxiety in cities, but I never fully told you the other part. I have CAPD, Central Auditory Processing Disorder. It's a huge part of why I can get overwhelmed easily in loud environments.

I don't tell you all of this to deter you from living in van, but to just explain some of the challenges you might face if you're thinking of moving into a van full-time. Sometimes van life is over glamorized so I like to show, not only the pros and amazing sides of living in a van, but also the cons, and stressful moments that can arise that you might never have thought of before deciding on this nomadic lifestyle.
