The story of Middleton Place Plantation is one of the most shameful and dark episodes in our nation's history. Middleton Place Plantation was established by Henry Middleton and during its time the Middleton family owned over 800 slaves on the 65-acre plantation. Only 2 were ever set free. I was overwhelmed and emotional setting foot inside the slave quarters and houses. To see where the slaves lived, how the slaves lived, and what they were made to do on the plantation was shocking to see it in person. This is where my van life travel vlog took me today in Charleston, SC.

Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started full time RV living. I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to pursue this crazy dream of traveling full time in an RV and creating incredible memories.
After 1 year of traveling, I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B van on a Promaster 2500 chassis. Now in my 4th year of RVing in my camper van, I'm still loving this RV lifestyle and being a digital nomad. I almost always boondock in nature and really enjoy that off grid living.
