Story Chasing | My Heart Was Racing Driving My Van - What's Wrong?? (solo female van life) @storychasing | Uploaded May 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
I had to make a quick emergency stop on the side of the road to figure out what was burning in my van. It was a horrible plastic and electrical fire smell. After my last van fire, I don't take this lightly and moved quickly into action. Even though it's still raining on the coast, I took off from Newport, Oregon to Seaside, Oregon for more camping at Thousand Trails RV parks. The coast is so beautiful and there's so much to see along the Pacific Coast Highway as you weave in and out of coastal towns dotted with seafood shops, marinas, mountains to the East, and some angry ocean waves with the rain and hail. Oh, I had to make a quick stop at the Tillamook factory too. It's divine!

Hi, Im Amber and in May 2017 I started full time RV living. I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to pursue this crazy dream of traveling full time in an RV and creating incredible memories.
After 1 year of traveling, I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B van on a Promaster 2500 chassis. Now in my 5th year of RVing in my camper van, Im still loving this RV lifestyle and being a digital nomad. I almost always boondock in nature and really enjoy that off grid living.

Wow..cooler temps and the Fall season are here in Maine which means....FALL FOLIAGE!!!! This campsite in Maine was at the top of my list of beautiful places to camp! Ill definitely be back. Im so glad to be here in the New England area in my van to experience what New England is like in the Fall! Ive survived the hotter more humid temps and now its time for cooler weather here. My van is happy about it too!
