Our Samsung dryer has always had a squeak and a grind every now and then, but recently it got angry at us and started going full blown crazy with the grinding which had created a burning smell, which was a big no no.
I took the back off and fiddled around with the belt and the barrel, trying to realign things and get things to behave a bit better.
Did a test run with my work pants, and only had some slight squeaks and grinding. Tested the full load of laundry after and it seemed to have cooperated.
If it happens again, I guess I just need to tweak at the belt and barrel for a while.
