Here’s a quick guide ➡️

1️⃣ "Faire de" is your go-to for activities and sports. For instance, "je fais du basket" (I play basketball), "je fais du foot" (I play football), or "je fais du ballet" (I do ballet).

2️⃣ "Jouer à" is also used for sports and games, but with a slight twist. Say "jouer au basket" or "jouer au tennis", but remember, some activities like ballet don't pair with "jouer à". Just like “play ballet” wouldn’t be correct in English.

3️⃣ And for the musicians out there, when talking about playing an instrument, it's "jouer de"! So, you'd say "jouer de la guitare" for playing the guitar.
