Hello, my lovely creative friends.
I know it's been almost three weeks since my last video, and first of all I just want to say thank you. Thank you for all your kindness, your patience, your beautiful messages and your understanding. They have meant more to me than I can put into words.
As many of you know, our family received some very sad news recently. We lost someone very dear to us, and for a little while creativity became very quiet. I simply wasn't able to sit here and talk without crying. Instead of filming tutorials as I normally do, I found myself quietly making journals. There was no camera, no pressure to explain anything. Some days I was creating, crying... and then creating again.
These two journals became part of my healing.
And they reminded me of something I think is worth sharing.
When life becomes heavy, creativity doesn't have to produce a masterpiece. It doesn't even have to be paper crafting. It can be knitting, painting, gardening, baking, sewing, woodworking, photography... anything that lets your hands keep moving while your heart slowly catches up.
Creative work can't remove grief or difficult times, but sometimes it gives our minds somewhere gentle to rest for a little while. Sometimes it helps us breathe. Sometimes it simply helps us make it through another day.
For me, these journals became that safe place.
So today isn't just a flip-through of a journal.
It's a little reminder that creating beautiful things is also a way of taking care of ourselves.
And if you're going through something difficult in your own life right now, I hope you'll give yourself permission to create something. Not because it has to be perfect... but because you deserve those quiet moments too.
Thank you for being here.
Now... let's open these journals together.
