Another video I've had on backlog for a few weeks.
Over Christmas Break I decided to drive up to Franklin County to see a WPS-3000 in person. While they are huge, they're no louder than a Vortex; however due to its location, this siren threw off some amazing echoes. It's got an ESC-864 cabinet which has been FPU'ed to an ESC-2030 running on 560 Hz. I met up with Connor (Thunderbolt1000Tfan) for this test.
This siren is buried inside the Lake Darby Water Treatment Plant; and the plant itself is buried in a subdivision. Luckily the gate was open, giving us a great opportunity to film it up close. Not much else to say, typical Franklin County test. The distant siren you may or may not be able to hear in between the alerts is a Whelen from I believe Madison County. Franklin County's system is serviced by B&C Communciations, Ohio's Whelen dealer and installer, based out of Columbus (formerly HQ'd in Parma). Enjoy!
Franklin County/Columbus has the largest siren system in the state of Ohio (although may have been surpassed by Cincinnati's) and tests their sirens every Wednesday at noon, weather-permitting.

Cycle: 30 seconds of alert (x2), voice on First Wednesdays discontinued in 2018.
