Rotary speakers generally have two speakers, one for treble and one for bass, both of which are pointed into a rotating portion, to spin the sound into the room. The virtual rotor on RT-2 visually represents the speed at which the rotors are spinning.
If you watch carefully, you can see that when the speed is changed on RT-2, the rotors will ramp up and down. This is due to the inertia of a physical rotating speaker, and is all part of the charm. 😎
