What's the deal with June Gloom? ☁️ ☀️ 🚫

Here's a breakdown of the science behind the gray skies, courtesy of Rachel Clemesha, an atmospheric scientist with the Weather Extremes and Climate Impacts Analytics (WECLIMA) group at Scripps Oceanography. Rachel is an expert in California's coastal climate and low stratiform clouds, so we figured she'd be the perfect person to ask.

The WECLIMA group studies relationships between regionally impactful weather extremes and large-scale climate variability and change, and collaborates across disciplines to study impacts on public health, ecosystems, water resources, wildfire, energy, and air quality.
