We fired up Reason 14 to see whether the new track-centric workflow earns the software a fresh look from producers who moved on years ago. The headline change brings each track's devices, signal chain, sends and panning directly into the sequencer through the new Track Panel, so you can manage a session without constantly opening the full rack. Rack per Track and a redesigned floating rack window round out the new navigation. On top of that, Reason 14 adds Track Folders, looped clips, reworked piano roll editing, MIDI note chase and automatic tempo detection, plus the RV-9 Reverb Station, a new device combining algorithmic and convolution reverb that replaces the long-serving RV7000.
