I got a message from a family member concerned about my faith from the kinds of things I'm posting. You know, calling out Nazi's, facism, all the things that Evangelicals are into these days.
And as I was almost done editing this video had a fairly short exchange with another family member who actually doesn't believe that trump is a PDFile. It's so hard to believe that anyone doesn't believe this very obvious truth. If you can't listen to his survivors, who else haven't you believed?
I'm so done worrying about what people think. This is for the deconstructed christians out there who don't need the threat of hell to be decent. Who don't believe in sin or the need to heap shame and pain on children. I'm not angry, I'm not bitter, I'm not anti-America or whatever else. I'm not only listening to "liberal media" I'm listening to people who are actually there with very real concerns about the people that ICE is kidnapping, without due process. Fun fact about due process is it's in the constitution, and not just for citizens, but all people. So that the governement cannot just decide that you can go away, that your citizenship can be ignored and rescinded at their discretion.
You know what is a really sad thing I've noticed. The Christians that voice the authority of God the loudest are the most hateful, unsafe, pedo protecting, murder defending people out there. They are using God as a crutch, a figure head for their racism and judgement. And I'm accepting the fact that their God either isn't real because he's had more than enough time to step up and put out the message that they suck, or he's not the ultimate authority. Or something. I don't know. I'm not impressed, honestly.
The fruit of the mistranslation of homosexual in the bible in 1946 has produced nothing but pain and death and loss. The bible is not perfect. So here I am, typing at midnight, after the video has already gone up, after I decided that I just didn't have it in me to come up with a clever thumbnail, and I keep typing and keep feeling like this isn't all there is to life. It's not just the division of the sides. There's an eternity waiting where it all makes sense. Where we remember who we really are, where God is known and truth is understood and it all comes together, and we laugh at the way we fought and the way we felt so betrayed and lied to. Where it makes sense why I wasted 13 years of my life being a missionary, and a lifetime of being a christian sure that too many people were going to hell. Now I'm on the prayer chain. And I bet a billion dollars that it isn't going to do a lick of good. Maybe the praying folk will feel good and accomplished but I won't feel any of it. The same way the rapture isn't happening, I won't feel the affect of prayers of people who think that kidnapping is justified. That throwing gay kids out of their homes is justified. Who think that trans people are the scourge on society that needs to be eliminated. Who think that trump loves america and is chosen by God and will go to heaven but I, a Mom of three beautiful kids just doing my best am not. They can all go and play with themselves. And also it doesn't matter and we will all laugh about this in between this life and onto the next.
