Never assume trust, always verify. Zero Trust runs on three principles: verify explicitly, enforce least-privilege access, and assume breach. Verify confirms who or what is requesting access, least privilege grants only the permissions needed and only for as long as needed, and assume breach means you build proactive defenses as if your environment is already compromised.
