Can it be that High-voltage DC power distribution is more effective than AC which Tesla patented over 120 years ago? Answer is yes and I think that Tesla would agree with me. With that technology back than that was most efficient way of long-distance power distribution. No matter what is used, AC or DC it is still High-voltage system of several hundreds of kilo-volts. Semiconductors have advanced so much in past years that converting HVAC to HVDC became possible. So basically this is just an improvement to the existing Tesla's system!
