A blaze broke out at Khlong Thom Market, one of Bangkok’s best-known electronics shopping centres, with parts of the structure collapsing as firefighters battled the flames for at least four hours. At least 11 people were injured.

Inside the building were more than 500 shops selling electronics and other goods, including flammable materials, as well as gas and chemicals, which may have contributed to the intensity of the blaze and the explosions.
