News about classic maplestory has been rather dry, so I wanted to do a recap of what we know and learned about classic world so far and what you can expect during the play test that will happen early next year.
And most of this video will cover all the differences compared to the real classic MapleStory experience. Classic world will be its own thing as explained by inkwell during maplecon. It will sit in between the normal classic maplestory that we all remember, and modern maplestory. The team behind maplestory classic wants to remove the inconvenience and unfairness that plagued classic maplestory. And instead they want to improve the game so that modern gamers will still enjoy classic world while still retaining as much of the classic look and feel as possible. Classic world will be a break off basically of classic world as if there was a different version of maplestory that never had the big bang update (or most other content for that matter) and instead did its own thing. So what this translated to are new areas, a whole new class balance and a ton of changes to the classic maplestory from 20 years ago. It’s not a revival, but a remake.
