Two days ago I made a video to highlight an issue with the Philosopher books which gave out the wrong items. Paying players were very upset and were discussing complaining to the fair trade commision in the US as Nexon was refusing to refund the opened boxes. Nexon has since posted not one but two statements and I feel that it is only fair that I cover this as well since the issues are now being resolved!
So quick recap what happened was that there were too many items in the philosopher random box which caused the rates to be different. Players could get different items than that were initially listed on the website which of course is illegal. Apparently the gachapon tickets also had a similar issue which I wasn’t even aware off, so two things broke at the same time. And to make things worse customer support agents give the wrong answer to players requesting for refunds, mentioning that due to the random nature of the philosopher book since well it is a random box, they could only refund unopened books which of course was ridiculous.
