Ontarians have been tricked – the public has been misled. Drivers are going to suffer, people on bicycles are going to suffer, transit users are going to suffer… EVERYONE in Ontario, Canada is going to suffer because of Bill 212. But all that anyone's been talking about are bike lanes.
I only counted “bicycles” being mentioned like… 10 times in ALL of Bill 212. And Highway 413 was mentioned OVER 90 TIMES. This video looks over these important documents which will determine Ontario's – and ever Canada's – future.
Doug Ford’s Reducing Gridlock and Saving You Time Act (Bill 212) is rushing Highway 413 into development. While it promises to reduce traffic congestion, internal reports and transportation experts disagree. The highway could cost over $10 billion, pave through protected greenbelt lands. Worse yet, the bill introduces new hurdles for municipalities to build bike lanes, prioritizing cars over sustainable transportation.
