What happens when a model makes a prediction that can actually be tested?

One of the most significant challenges facing common flat Earth models involves the Antarctic summer sun.

Under the globe model, observers within the Antarctic Circle should be able to experience periods when the sun remains above the horizon continuously.

Common flat Earth models struggle to reproduce that observation geometrically.

So instead of debating diagrams online, participants traveled to Antarctica and observed the phenomenon firsthand.

They documented the sun remaining visible throughout a full 24-hour period.

That's why testable predictions matter.

A scientific model should explain what we actually observe. When repeated observation contradicts a model's prediction, the responsible response is to reconsider the model.

For Christians, pursuing truth should never require us to ignore reality. God's Word and God's world ultimately have the same Author.
