I'm sure you may have heard rumors online that the long-running Canadian animation company, Nelvana, is shutting down after 54 years of operation (same timespan as Hanna-Barbera). But what's really happening is that Nelvana isn't really going away; while they are indeed halting animation production for the time being, they will still be active for management and distribution of their massive library, amid the financial woes their parent company Corus Entertainment is going through. So it's very likely this is just a temporary thing for the beloved Canadian cartoon studio with a polar bear mascot...
