Owning a pond is awesome, but there is a lot more maintenance than most people realize. In this video, I’m tackling a full pond maintenance day around my 1-acre pond, including checking the Airmax aerator, talking about the rebuild/maintenance interval, treating the pond, cleaning up the beach area, setting a bluegill trap, testing out a muck roller, and planning out a future waterfall project.
The water is looking great, but the work never really stops. From keeping the beach clean, managing muck and vegetation, trapping overpopulated bluegill, maintaining aeration, and keeping the pond usable for swimming, this is a real behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to own and maintain a recreational pond.
