the last time your LO suddenly started wiggling and trying to climb out of the carrier? yep. he had to pee. 💡⁠
give it a try and you’ll be totally amazed at how clearly your baby will let you know he has to go. ⁠

How to do the Wake-Up Pee:

STEP ONE: When baby starts stirring, grunting, or rolling around = bladder is filling!

STEP TWO: Hold baby in the EC Classic Hold over a top hat potty, sink, or toilet (or if young toddler, use big potty with a seat reducer)

STEP THREE: Say “pssst” to cue them (or “potty” if they’re older). Running water or gentle blowing on their head can help relax them.

Even if the diaper is wet, offer anyway! There’s often more to come ⏳ Why bother? This routine builds the expectation that we pee upon waking, setting your child up for independent pottying later.

Nurse first or potty first? Up to you! But pottying first often leads to a better, more focused feed.
