At Electronica 2026, we visited the Silicon Labs booth to explore a wireless networking technology that was completely new to us - Wi-SUN.

While most engineers are familiar with BLE, Zigbee, Matter, Thread, and LoRa, Wi-SUN is a protocol specifically designed for large-scale outdoor mesh networking applications such as:
