The FPV Freedom Coalition is a Community Based Organization that is advocating for the rights of FPV Drone hobbyists. They have been involved with 3 task groups at the FAA and are currently seeking a seat on the Drone Advisory Committee. I ask them under what authority they speak for the whole FPV community and their answer is interesting.
