Quantifying light use efficiency can get very complicated. In a controlled environment the easiest way to do this is by comparing the watts consumed to biomass (of a certain type). This is a bit crude as it doesn’t imply each and every factor, so you’ll want to consider the other qualitative aspects of biomass.
