In this video we look at patriarchy via the feminist theory by Liesbet Ven Zoonen. This is one of the three feminist representation theories that we look at it A-level media studies. It builds on Laura Mulvey’s work on the male gaze and identifies how western representations of women have resulted in stereotypical sexualised, objectified, erotic representations of women.
