A model with Volume reflects and refacts light at depth of the model and not just on the surface. This tutorial describes what Volume is and provides detailed instructions, using Blender, to apply it to a model of a colored translucent glass. Additionally, there is discussion with examples showing the rendered effects of varying various parameters.
