Frozen shoulder, also called adhesive capsulitis, is a condition of the shoulder that involves thickening of the capsule of the shoulder joint, which causes it to get stuck to itself or the bones of the shoulder. This produces symptoms of shoulder motion loss, stiffness, and pain.
