Over the past few years, there has been a marked increase in cases of Rhabdomyolysis aka "Rhabdo", Compartment Syndrome and Heat Illness. As a wildland firefighter or supervisor, do you know what to look for? Are these conditions linked or can they occur individually? In this webinar presented on March 20, 2014,fellow wildland firefighters tell their story about how these conditions affected them and what they wished they would have knew then. There is also discussion of the science behind these conditions, what causes them, and myth busting. The webinar consisst of presentations from a panel consisting of medical and exercise physiology experts, as well as crew leaders and wildland firefighters with experience with these conditions.
