A lot of growers prefer liquid fertilizers because they are so easy to use; the solution is added at a fixed rate with fewer measurements needed. Some nutrient solutions even balance pH at the same time.

However, that simplicity costs money. Liquid fertilizers are just a dry fertilizer mixed to a higher concentration in water. When growers buy liquid solutions, they pay for the water in that solution to be shipped.

We recommend that large growers save money by buying and mixing their own dry fertilizers.
