Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint.
In a hair salon however, the word has become a way of life. Balayage has transformed the world of hair-colour since the 1970’s and has become even more popular today, in modern salons around the world.
The technique involves hand painting hair, in a sweeping motion with a brush. This allows for a sun-kissed, natural looking hair colour, similar to what nature gives us as children.
When done properly the balayage technique leaves softer, less noticeable regrowth lines.
