Burmese pythons are INVADING! With the recent discovery of the new world record Burmese python found in south Florida, there's been alot of stir about what is ACTUALLY happening in the everglades, and on today's adventure into the freshwater mangroves and dwarf cypress swamps of the south Florida everglades, we'll be tracking two species to determine some of the things occurring in the free-for-all survival zone that is this massive wetland habitat. Of course, we'll be looking for the invasive burmese python, but also the incredibly elusive and currently declining snake species: the brooks kingsnake. One of these snakes is out of control, spreading to every corner of the glades, while the other is facing ecological crisis in its own native habitat. How could this be happening at the same time? That's what we're going to investigate! Along the way, we'll find out about all the wonderful creatures that call this region home, but also we'll be tracking..... a new python nest sight!
