You see spheres all around you. A basketball, a soccer ball, and even a tennis ball are spheres. When you play with these balls, you're playing with spheres! Because spheres are round, they can roll. Some other things that are shaped like spheres are oranges, apples, and grapes. Even the Earth is almost a big, round sphere! It's so big that we can't see its round shape very well, but astronauts in space can see that it's round. No matter how you look at a sphere, it always looks the same. It's like a perfect ball. You can turn it around and around, but it still looks like a ball. That's because it's round all over.
