Interesting backstory is that Brad Boxer (who was the keyboardist for Michael Jackson is the 90s) used the structure of this track song in an unreleased song by his band the Jetzons called Hard Times. Thus ending all debate of whether MJ was involved in the soundtrack for Sonic 3.
Gotta say, the track written to replace this due to copyright issues is quite lacking in comparison to this classic.

Put it on a loop and crank out your homework! For real though, I knew I wanted to tackle this track and for the life of me could not decide which direction to take it. Dont really do much LoFi but it just seemed to fit. Hoping to try more like this in the future and improve my chops.

I actually never played Sonic 2 so I first heard this track on Mania - of course Tee Lopes absolutely crushed it and inspired me to take a swing at it. Had so much fun bringing it to life with some fun mixing and guitar additions.

Ive always been so captivated by this track. Metroid games are such an immersive experience, in no small part due to the incredible atmospheric soundtracks. I wanted to preserve the loneliness and dread ;) of the original and give it a fresh coat of paint.
There are great tracks from Super Metroid that I might do in the future. Let me know what I should tackle next.
