-------------- actual description ------------
I've been making games in Unity for about 8 years. And with that come a LOT of terrible prototypes. So in this video, I'd like to share those with you, as well as some motivation to not give up.
From my first 3D prototype, to a movie-inspired game, and a bunch of bad survival automation games, there's a lot to unpack.
Also, I HATE MORTAL ENGINES

My first game, March To The Beach, was inspired by a song by Twenty One Pilots, March To The Sea. It was a 3D walking simulator, that was supposed to have an impressive and emotional story. Yet, it never got further than light switches, and a fridge door.

Then, I talk about Roomba Time, a roomba game kind of like Roombo: First Blood, but without the violence. So... not nearly as interesting. It was a fun management game idea where gameplay would slowly get more difficult as time went on. But besides the upgrades, it wasn't exciting much.

In 2018, I also started making a game based on the terrible Mortal Engines movie (and book by Philip Reeves). A world where cities were on wheels sounded like the perfect setup for an RTS like StarCraft or Command & Conquer. But I had little experience at the time, so my game prototype was a huge mess

I also made a bunch of survival games. A first person tower defense with crafting.
Or a combination of Minecraft, Forager, and Factorio.
Or Stardew Valley, but in space. People are still sad about me leaving Ikarus behind.
And there were many more ideas, but in the end... they just didn't work out. And that's okay. My latest projects are awesome, and I'm actually finishing them for Steam. So go check them out!
