In this devlog I show you how I made my game Dance Assembly, a sandbox game in which you can make ANY character you want, and make it DANCE!
Wanna see Winnie the Pooh do the chicken dance? No problem!
In Dance Assembly, anything is possible thanks to its freedom. You can create anything with all the simple shapes given (cube, sphere, capsule, cylinder, and pyramid). And through moving, rotating, and scaling, you can combine everything to make the craziest characters.
This is my first official commercial Steam release, and I'm incredibly proud.
I love games that have no stakes at all, just allowing you to create whatever you want, and so I think this game makes a great addition to those that inspired me like Trains & Islands, Unpacking, The Ramp, and Townscaper.
I look forward to seeing all your creations on Twitter, and on the workshop!
