I decided to try making a kumiko tambour door. This was just a test, but I treated it like a real build. Modeling parts, cutting some on the CNC, and working through a bunch of challenges along the way. There were glue issues, pieces coming apart mid-cut, and some small mistakes, but in the end… it worked.
This is exactly what I had in mind, and it’s got me excited for the bigger project I’m planning. Stick around—this is just the beginning.
