Willem Dafoe's Vulko had played a significant part in the DCEU and is an important figure in the origin of Arthur Curry. But he is conspicuously missing from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Vulko, who had taught Arthur how to wield his Atlantean powers, was supposed to be Aquaman's main adviser when he eventually took the throne of Atlantis. As anticipated, Vulko does not appear in the sequel.
Prior to his sequences being trimmed, Willem Dafoe was scheduled to make his Vulko debut in 2017's Justice League.
