An interesting documentary in which we take a look at what's left of Sheffield City Airport. It opened in 1997 and last saw airliner traffic in 2002.
There's plenty of things left to see such as where the old runway was, some of the radio infrastructure and faded helipads, not to mention the terminal building and control tower.
The airport was sold for £1 and has now been redeveloped. An amazing Stolport that came too late, this cousin of the more successful London City Airport is now part of aviation history in South Yorkshire.
