In this video, I take a look at a case I profiled in Ohio over two decades ago! I will share with you the value of being at the location .
In 1998, seventeen-year-old Danny Violette left his house on a Saturday afternoon in Willard, Ohio and did not return. Eleven days later his body was found in a cornfield outside the city limits. His cause of death was asphyxiation ad he had ligature marks around his neck. His arms had strange marks on them, and his shirt was off of his body. A five-dollar bill was found ripped up by his body. The case remains unsolved.
However, why is this? I profiled this case for the police department and found what I considered a very viable lead. Was my profile of no help? Was it due to the odd fact that, while I was allowed to see crime scene photos, I was not given access to the autopsy or autopsy photos? Or was I on the right track but there was no follow-through?
This was a case that I felt should have been able to be solved. The family has never gotten answers and remains in the dark as to why 25 years later, no arrest has been made.
