Bridgetown was once described as a town that never developed ... called after a bridge that was never built! The "mad Englishman", William Edmund Scarbrow, was so optimistic that the town he dreamt of creating will one day have a bridge over the river, that he named it Bridgetown, long before he even started. This video tells the amazing story of why it never materialised and what eventually happened to the bridge he wanted so badly.
